V World Meeting of the Missionaries of Mercy

The Apostolic Constitution Praedicate Evangelium institutionalized and established the ministry of the Missionary of Mercy, which was instituted in the context of the Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy. The Missionaries continue to make themselves available to animate specific initiatives, particularly those connected with the celebration of the sacrament of Reconciliation and the preaching of the mystery of divine mercy.

The V World Meeting of the Missionaries of Mercy will take place in Rome from 4 to 6 March 2027, in the context of the celebration of the “24 Hours for the Lord”. It will be a valuable opportunity for sharing and formation, made particularly significant by the fact that it will be the first time that Pope Leo XIV will meet the Missionaries of Mercy.

The Missionaries of Mercy are priests who have received the special faculty to absolve sins reserved to the Apostolic See. Their presence and their extraordinary ministry are a sign demonstrating that the mercy of God is alive and effective in the various parts of the world.
