H.E. Archbishop Fisichella at the 58th Theology Conference of the Pontifical University of Salamanca: «Catechesis is born from the encounter with Christ»

Salamanca, 21 October 2026 – The transmission of faith to younger generations, the centrality of the encounter with Christ, and the challenges of digital culture were the main themes addressed by H.E. Archbishop Rino Fisichella during the 58th Theology Conference organised by the Faculty of Theology of the Pontifical University of Salamanca.

In his address, Catechesis at the Service of Revelation: Communicating the Truth that Saves, Archbishop Fisichella emphasised that faith must become a lived experience and a concrete witness. Catechesis, for its part, is called to bring together the content of faith and personal adherence to it, placing the living encounter with Jesus Christ at its centre.
