Appointment of the Commissioner General of the Holy See Pavilion at Expo 2027 Belgrade

On 6 August 2026, the Holy Father Pope Leo XIV appointed H.E. Archbishop Rino Fisichella, Pro-Prefect of the Dicastery for Evangelization, as Commissioner General of the Holy See Pavilion at Expo 2027 Belgrade.

The appointment concerns the Holy See’s participation in the 2027 Belgrade Specialised Expo, dedicated to the theme “Play for Humanity: Sport and Music for All.”
